Investors Remain Committed to SAA: Gigaba

Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba has given the assurance that despite the problems South African Airways has faced in the past, investors are still committed to the airline.

Gigaba says many turnaround strategies have been developed with billions invested into the airline in the form of guarantees and bailouts.

He has tabled government's 14-point plan to boost the economy, as well as ensure state owned entities function properly.

"Public resources can no longer be used to fund finance inefficiency, as millions are wasted in this way instead of being used in other projects to boost the economy,” said Gigaba.
