Cricket South Africa (CSA) today extended its congratulations to the Castle Lager Proteas on winning their Momentum ODI Series against New Zealand and in the process claiming the No. 3 ODI ranking in this format of the game.


Banyana Banyana head coach Vera Pauw has announced a squad of 22 players for the upcoming 2015 All Africa Games which will take place in Brazzaville, Congo from 3 – 18 September.

Pauw has kept the bulk of the squad that has done duty for South Africa in the last few matches.

Two players will not travel to Congo as Banyana Banyana is only allowed 20 players for the tournament.


The SPAR National Netball Championships got under way at the Ugu Sports Centre near Margate on Monday. The championships are being played according to a new format, with teams representing provinces rather than regions, and North West coach Dorette Badenhorst, was pleased with the way her team started, beating KwaZulu-Natal A2 49-13, and Gauteng 36-26.


The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport and Recreation in conjunction with Starline Boxing Promotions as well as the Umnambithi-Ladysmith Municipality hosted a very successful boxing tournament on Saturday, 22 August 2015, at the Area J Community Hall at Steadville area in Ladysmith.
