South Africa’s U17 Men’s National team, Amajimbos are back in camp to step up preparations for the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup scheduled for Chile in October.

Amajimbos will be one of four African countries that will represent the continent in Chile.


The Cape Town Sevens rugby tournament will take place on the weekend of 12 and 13 December, World Rugby announced in Paris on Tuesday when it confirmed the new schedule for the 2015/16 season.


Cell C Sharks loose-forward Lubabalo ‘Tera’ Mtembu is patiently awaiting his return to the rugby after suffering two major injury setbacks in 2015.

After enjoying a successful 2014 season, which included captaining the Sharks Currie Cup side, the 24-year-old suffered a knee injury at the start of the 2015 Super Rugby campaign.


Newly-appointed SAFA technical director Neil Tovey believes he is suitable for the role but also says he aims to get other former players involved within the association structures.

The former Bafana Bafana captain has never coached at national level but he believes his track record at club level and his vision for the development of the game kames him the right candidate.
