Talented utility back Wandile Mjekevu has joined the Sharks on a two-year deal ahead of the 2015 Currie Cup season.

The 24-year-old who plays as a wing or centre had spells with the Lions and the Sharks before joining 

"We are delighted that Wandile has decided to return to the Cell C Sharks,” Sharks director of Rugby Gary Gold told the club’s website.


Canoeing South Africa has announced a big squad of paddlers set to represent the country at the all-important 2015 ICF Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe World Championships in Milan, Italy from 19-23 August as well as the group of emerging talent to compete at this year’s ICF Junior and Under-23 Canoe Sprint World Championships in Montemor-o-Velho, Portugal from 23-26 July.

Orlando Pirates have confirmed five new signings ahead of the 2015/16 season, including the much-awaited Equatorial Guinea international goalkeeper Filipe Ovono.

Ovono actually penned a contract with the Buccaneers last season but he was unable to turn out for the team as he did not have a work permit.
