Following additional information SAFA received from world governing body FIFA, the Association resolved on moral and ethical grounds that we cannot be beneficiaries of corrupt activities.

Therefore, we have decided that we will comply with the FIFA directive to replay the match against Senegal at a date to be decided.


The CEO of Tennis South Africa, Richard Glover, has, on behalf of the Federation, extended a message of congratulations to Kevin Anderson, for reaching the final of the US Open.

The Board of Directors of Cricket South Africa (CSA) approved the recommendation of the National Selection Panel to appoint Faf du Plessis as captain of the Standard Bank ODI squad with immediate effect.

He takes the place of AB de Villiers who had resigned as the captain. Du Plessis will thus captain the Proteas in all three formats.


 The South African Senior Women’s National Team has safely arrived in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe after a one hour 20 minute flight, which they shared with the Madagascar Women’s National Team.

The two nations are in the country to compete in the 2017 COSAFA Women’s Championship that will take place from 13 – 24 September.
